Im working on changing the basic tutorial into an anti K'luth tutorial BUT The normal tutorial gives the player a Transport.
and transports can mount ECCM, i asume there is a way to change the tranny into a Sensor scout?

I couldnt really find out how in the Script ref.

tutorials are map type "tutorial"

there is some (undocumented, of course) way to make those maps, and limit the ships the player can select.
start the tutorial: you can only select a transport, nothing else.

in order to change that to a scout, something in the maps properties that is undocumented and not accessible in the map editor needs to be changed.

so, i would advise you to make the tutorial as a normal map.
while testing, you can always only select the ship you want it to work with.

then, once your script is showing results, go to chromix with it and ask him to make a tutorial map with a scout as the only selectable ship, or show you how.

what would be even cooler is if you scripted a battle in progress, and upon onTeamSelected() one of the ships sends out a distress call "We need some ECCM over here!"

hmm well im currently working on my Anti K'luth training, dunno if its gonna work though.

The maps (Is supposed to ) go like this:

Player gets a scout
Hears there is a K'luth ship jumping on light speed in the system.
Gets some info about K'luth Cloak and ECCM.
Then jumps to ihzack.
uses ECCM to decloak the K'luth (If the clock works )
then a few fleet of ICC ships come to slaughter it, 2 AD's a dicter + Supply. (I know overkill for just a K'luth frigate but hey Big ships look awsome to newbies )
then the K'luth dies and that pretty much where i am now.

Im not sure if the script will even work
and im pretty sure the K'luth frig doesnt work. (It didnt last time i checked)
But if it turns out okay then im sure Chromix Sig or F will gimme a K'luth ship.

Anyhow feel free to suggest stuff i can add

EDIT: I mean try to add
