Yesterday - PERFECT graphics, very good frame rates in combat, ok orbiting.
Today - flashes, glitches, flickering text, more flashes etc (didn't play long enough to get frame rates)
The system.....
Winfast Geforce 2 GTS - Latest drivers
800 PIII
256meg ram
abit apollo mobo
ISDN 128k connection, 60ms pings.
As I said this worked perfectly yesterday, total chaos today.
On a side note GREAT game. If you could make it true 3d and I'll name my children after you

Had the same problem with flashes and glitches. I finally got it to work again by uninstalling the game. I noticed that the uninstaller didn't remove any registry entries, so I removed them manually. I also updated to directx 8.0a and also the lastest reference drivers from nvidia. I did this all at once so i don't know what it was that fixed the graphics glitches.
My system is a PIII 500 256Mb ram and GForce 2 Pro.

Hello,
well me, I just updated and everything is fine now graphic bugs, allthough the client crashed for no (obvious) reasons.

Same graphics problems here. Started yesterday with NO changes to graphics settings. No framerate numbers, but always smooth as silk. Specs:
Intel PIII 866 Coppermine
512mb RDRAM
Intel VC820 mobo
Creative Annihilator GeForce 2 GTS
nVidia 12.41 drivers (latest)
Win98SE
Motorola 56k modem (fastest server ~ 200ms)
Darkspace graphics settings at:
1152x864x32
All settings either "high" or checked
Originally flickering/unreadable text with odd errors when rotating around my craft (long, odd-colored polys would pop up at specific points then disappear). Some problems when firing weapons, but only one or two. Much chaos when dragging mouse cursor over weapon/build icons at bottom of screen.
Now, after DarkSpace reinstall (uninstall/directory delete/registry cleanup) and 3D card driver reinstall, flickering text appears fixed, but now MUCH chaos when firing weapons, including the "white wall" when firing the ICC's blue beam weapons (I forget the name, whatever the Heavy Cruiser has). Problems when putting mouse cursor over weapon/build icons at first, but go away after firing weapons. Display glitches appear to be stretched, flickering versions of engine trails, beam weapons, and turning arc. Planet atmosphere "halos" appear broken as well.
On a side note, before the big problems, I've always had problems with large planets at the draw distance limit; the outer faces of the mesh would be flickering.
Hope this helps, Darkspace is awesome, and I want to play more!
~Ash

Same deal as the others. Had perfect visuals until this latest update...
This looks like an error with GeForce 2 cards - all reports so far with it are different makes of that card...

Yup, also when under heavy fire, as from a large cruiser or destroyer, I get kicked out to windows w/out any message or bug error. Removed and reinstalled but still the same. This also happened after the recent update.
