FYI... I've got the 12.41 nvidia det drivers install on my work machine, no problems currently running DarkSpace.
I did find a problem in the draw line strip code, I was telling the display to draw too many primitives, which might be the cause of the graphics glitches and crashes some of you have been experiencing.

I'm currently using 14.20 and they work fine, except for a few times where i can see line glitches.

I installed the detonator V12.41 on my machine for testing purpose but it seems this driver (and the 10.80 before) doesn't feel impresed by any changes i do on my system configuration.
If anyone has still the same probs (glitches and stuff) and you want to play though you can switch to V6.50 or 6.88 for Geforce cards, they worked out well without any prob.
I will try some other things tomorrow evening.

Older driver are no solution for me ... every driver below 7.97 (further I've not tested yet) let the fps drop extreme on the map-screens and while orbiting a planet.
In the normal play view everything is fine and the game runs smooth, looking at the Map or going into orbit and the game starts to slow down until I've a nice slide-show.
Anyone else experiencing this problems ?

Update - seems I've the fps problem with nearly all driver.
Using now 12.4x and the slide-show when orbiting a planet is still there. At least I can use the map without this problem anymore.
BTW, System is:
Athlon 500 with 160 MB Ram
Asus AGP-V6600 GeForce 256
OS - Win98SE
(until the last grafic-update this
system was enough to play 1024x768x16 completely smooth, now it seems
to be to slow)

I had soem slight problems still with 12.41's on my GF2. not near as bad as before the patches, but problems nonetheless. I listed them on a thread around here about the problem being fixed it think. not sure. I've since reinstalled windows for a differetn reason, so i went back to 7.58's.
