quote from the news

Graphical glitches on Nvidia chipsets. A bug in the display code is causing all kinds of artifacts to appear in game.

/quote

just wanted to point out that Radeon chipsets are suffering from the same problem

Would be a good opportunity to look at that problem as well.

Actualy it's worse than nvidia cards, because NO driver up/down grade helps.

Apparently, running them in Windowed mode instead of fullscreen gets you around the problem, until something better is worked out.

Good chance that both problems are related... If anyone can take a screen shot, then please do and email it to me today as I'm working on this problem right now.

I think is has to do with triangle strips / line strips since I for the first time saw the bug yesterday.

Also, I may track you down in the chat rooms to get you to test new code, so stick around today

About taking screenshots of the lines/flashing ... bug:
tried that a few days ago ..
like a madman ... 100 and more when it happend.
but the screenshoots are ok
showing the scenes without that lines/triangles/white bkg ... the way it should be but isn't yet

good luck hunting that nasty one

btw: the solution how to make the font readable with radeon vc's (see thread ds font unreadable) should be added to FAQ.
it's NOT the anti aliasing thing.

I also have this font problem with my radeon, but unfortunately don't appear to have a directx tab in my advanced settings. I have the latest drivers for the card, and looked carefully through every tab for something that might vaguely resemble what you described, but found nothing. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

SpiritWolf

Here's a *picture* of the Radeon settings you need

Ignore the language if you don't speak German.
The position is the same in any language.
