Maybe I am too stupid for this. After creating my account and validating it, i start GCQL and see this:
What do I have to do to start the game ? ( clicking view->launch does not do anything)

I cant see your picture but to start the games you have to go to the launch tab, click on Darkspace and then click launch.Then it will download darkspace and you can play

after clicking on launch you'll also need to select a server; otherwise nothing will happen

Doubt he be able to do even that..
You need a fully working Internet Explorer to run GCQL, be sure you have one and/or its not corrupted.
If your running trough a emulator on MacOS or Linux, be sure to include IE support. (even then its not guaranteeing to work).
No other idea what it could be at the moment.

The most likely problem is lack of Internet Explorer, it looks like GCQL gets to the point where it initializes the first frame, then haults. Install IE, then try again, it may be necessary to reinstall GCQL.

Thanks for your help so far.
I actually had IE uninstalled. But when I reinstallled IE and GCQL, the situation remained unchanged.

I know the reason now: I had the proxy-program 'Widecap' installed (but not even running). After uninstalling it, the error was gone.
(This also solved my problem with not beeing able to log on to VPN and some other MMO....)
