Have you run DarkSpace Setup?

Your specs are more than enough for darkspace.
Go to the Launch Tab, Double Click Darkspace Setup.
Select your details and qualities and your set.

I find that DS is sometimes a little bit touchy with Vid settings. Some people have trouble, while others don't...Who knows.

If anything changes the VID or name of the graphics card, DarkSpace will detect it and request you change the setup, or should (as it doesn't know (and shouldn't - guessing in this scenario is just bad) what has changed).
So at times when you upgrade graphical drivers, DarkSpace may display this error because it cannot find the old VID/graphics card name.
In your case, it might simply of been a case of the config.ini not being written out to where you installed DarkSpace properly (are you on Vista?).
Anyway, glad you got it fixed.
