Don;t know if this is just me but i've been having loads of problems joing servers recently. I first noticed it under the previous patch but it's worse now.
I'll select a sevre ans connect - then after a while i might get the client come up or not - i might see the palestar logo. sometimes i even see the progress bar - generally it takes 3-4 attempts to get the client up ( sending a bug report each time)
Last couple of days though - just total failure.
ANyone help?

i get this somestimes, actually happened tonight but with no bug report. i just keep trying until it works normally by quitting completely out of GCQL and going back in.
I'd take a guess and it happens about 30% of the time.

I don't think the issue is connecting to the server... I think it's more than likely your graphics drivers ... since we are loading and initializing alot of 3D assets during the time you think we are connecting.
Also... check that your CPU/GPU are not filled with dust and overheating.

Wow a reply from F!!
Actually it might be due to firewall. (Mcafee)
I disabled the firewall and immediately no problem. Don;t know if the latest mcafee update has done something to settings. One to play with i guess.

This happens to me a lot in my office PC... but not on my Home PC..
This is what ive been dong for the past weeks when trying to connect to the game on my office PC
everytime im joining any server, ive pingging the server on the command prompt at the same tiime. It minimizes the failure.
C:ping titan.darkspace.net
i think the latency affect your connection to DS 400-600ms at the office. but at home im at 200-300ms.

Nvidia 182 drivers from begining of march, unless there is a incompactibility problem between the new drivers and the game it self. when the game runs its fine.
No need to blow out anything, machine custom made by me less than 4 weeks ago. you have latest dxdiag from a support call i raised regarding issue with K'luth Signatures.

This is also happening to me ... but it happens when im (example) in R.R. server and logout and simply join the sagg. server with out waiting 2min to permanently log out of R.R. ...
Then again i always get the bug reporting window up but i can never send it for some reason [ This Message was edited by: | Dark Hiigaran | *NCO* on 2009-03-18 07:27 ]

You need to wait 2 minutes before swapping servers (connecting to different ones).
