Hello.

This is not a problem, its a solution. After talking to Richard I upgraded my XP default Nvidia drivers for my Gforce GTS 2 card to the new 23.11 drivers.

This seems to have fixed most of the crashes I have been having.

I have had a lot of problems with older drivers on XP but the new ones seem to be very stable.

I'd add this to the Knowledge base but theres no option to add this info on the knowledge base link that i can find. So i thought id add it here instead.

Note:
The Driver update appears to have fixed the lobby problems when changing screens to join a server. The game still crashes randomly though. Fingers crossed, the 1.3 update will fix this.

I've gotten a total of 4 Blue Screen of Deaths on XP since I got it, and all four have been playing DS, and all four have specified the nvidia driver dll. I'm assuming there's just some crossed wires somewhere, however, it's not a major concern for me. It's still far more stable than Win98 ever was.

I agree about XP. My system has totally crashed out 5 times in 4 months. Win98 and ME used to do that several times a day on my system.

The new drivers though are proving to be very stable here. I unstalled the old ones before i updated, prior to that i installed over the old ones and i too had problems.

23.11 are not WHQL for wXP and include infinity loop bug !
i suggest to you use 23.12beta (WHQL for XP) and fixed infinity loop bug !
or use beta 27.00, 27.10, 27.20 !
plus version 27.00 already apeared on windows XP update !!! www.windowsupdate.com
