OK brainiacs.
I have new comp.
nvidia geforce 7300 se graphics,
realtek hd audio mixrs,
windows xp.

dual core processor etc
problems are that my sound turns itself off.
something to do with legacy audio drivers, because when i re-install hardware, they work fine. Now i have about 8 legacy drivers and no way to uninstall the things.

also when i log in and load up, if the drivers arnt installed i cannot get into server (MV)

any suggestions???
please keep it simple as i am.

Still having problems,
I uninstalled DS a while back, and audio drivers then performed as they should.
yesterday i got itchy fingers and re-installed DS, plus update etc.
NO SOUND, rechecked audio drivers and it tells me no audio drivers installed.
Completly deleted/unistalled DS, rebooted and lol i have sound drivers back on line.
To my un-comp literate mind, i have a soft ware compatability problem,
How to solve, thats the question.
It might be worth buying a new sound card or system or whatever, As stated before its a realtek.
does not have probs with any other games etc i play, like dawn of war, WOW, etc.
Advice greatfully received.

What's your motherboard?

The chipset drivers come with the audio drivers.

Basically has the same onboard soundcard my compaq had.. i'm glad my mom has it now, no more fighting with reinstalling the drivers every month when they stop working

Tells me it's a VIA motherboard.

Funnily enough, I noticed this on their driver page:

Quote:
VIA Hyperion Pro Driver Package
Version 5.11A of the Hyperion Pro driver has been released. Issues with audio and/or video playback have been reported and are being investigated. If you do want to use the Hyperion Pro 5.11A drivers you can download them from here.
