Due to the fact my computer is in getting fixed. i burnt a copy of darkspace and went down to the local Internet Cafe. I put the CD in the drive and went to run it. Note* i burnt the entire Darkspace Folder onto a CD.
i go into the cd. and double click on the Darkspace.exe and click on Lobby.
it goes to the client update and stops there.
Am i doing something wrong or cant i do this?

No, I don't think you can do this, because DS installs some things into the Registry and hidden stuff like that that needs to be present for the game to run. You'll have to install it like normal to get it to work...
Sorry..

I don't see why you think that would work...
Why do you think people just don't do that to every PC game in existence?

im not sure, no, not really. im pretty positive it runs on a clean install?
it will fail on autoupdate because it cannot get write access.
change autoupdate=0 and it might work?

note that every time it runs it wants to write, though, because it tries to change autoupdate to 1 when you run it.

| Yes, but that shouldn't be a problem.
You can use a pretty cheap 128mb USB Memory Stick to start DS. However it won't run without the necessary registry keys created by the installer.

Yea, but really alot of us would like to play the game and not from home and also so we dont have to install the program other peoples computers, sence this is a pay to play game i dont really see the problem in makeing the game able to play from a MS or CD. you still have to enter your username password,

well u might run into a problem if that os is w2k or winxp that ure not logged in as an administrator on this comp which usually makes it impossible to install software, change any networksettings or modifying registery etc. u can emulate this by creating a similiar acount on ure comp and try to do the same as u try in the internetcafe.

ok, then you can create a .reg file with the necessary keys and put them on the target system with a simple doubleclick
