This subject was touched upon earlier.
I formatted my HD and loaded XP Pro. All drivers including video were on the XP disk. With a little effort DS was up and running. Now when i log into a server and go to jump away from gate It wont jump. and only sometimes will my engines actually work.
My video card is crap but neccesary for the Workstation monitor that I am using. It is a S3 inc. Savage4. It worked on DS earlier but i figured it was time to update everything and clean harddrive.
OS: Windows XP Pro
DirectX: i have tried the following... 8.0 8.1, and 9.0a
Video card: S3 inc. Savage4
I have updated service pack for windows (no change)
There are no drivers to update to for my video card that i could find. The S3 website says that all drivers for XP are on the XP disk itself.
The internet explorer works fine on other programs, and internet works fine on games.
I am running DSL through a Network in the house. I checked the firewall and there is none present.
Basically what it comes down to is it was working fine before and now it is not. Only change is WindowsXP and new Vid drivers.
Any Ideas????

Hmm maybe is not juz me ? 
Ive Been having same prob all day .. cant jump coz im stuck at jump alignment 0.0... so im haunting the forum till i log off  ...
could it be that nethack problem or maybe some routers ??
I havent changed anything at all ...

its lag it happened to me before. its the ping. probably some router problem between you and the server at the time. check your routing using tracert

the only way i found is to ejump then you have to wait for a recharge to jump again but this normal works for me when stuck ay 0 waiting for a jump

E-Jump will not work either, and i checked the pings and they are fine. I tried websites based all over the world.

Also here is something weird, the drives and jump works fine in the beta server and the tutorial server just not in the regular servers

The problem is fixed. I got a new video card and it works well now. Thank you for the help though people.

Hi
Ive got the same problem, i can only jump once and then not at all,The tutorial works fine, i'm also using a S3 savage 4 video card.
There must be a reason,surley i havent got to buy another video card.
