hello i have a problem, always when i go on a server my Pc freezes and i dont know why.
I have a Geforce 2 MX 400 ( I tryed different drivers)
K7S5A Elite Group Mainboard
1,3 Ghz Athlon
Win 2k prof
I hope someone kann help me.

Did you wait for full two minutes without pressing any key to check if it really freezed ? Most times such a "freeze" reovers itself after a while, or you get at least an errormessage.

Also make sure you have the latest drivers and version of directX

yes i was waiting and I have DX 8.1 and DX 8.1 is ok or not ?

8.1 should be fine, been running it with a nvidia and w2k for DS for a long time..
the question is, if its a hard freeze, if you dont have any sort of general stability problem with your machine... hard to tell.. id advise testing some other CPU and memory intensive 3d apps..

Maybe not, some of the latest drivers for your video card might require DirectX 9.1 Just goto www.microsoft.com and type in directX to get the latest version.

ok i can play now i have installed the newest dx and the newest detonator.
Its laggy but i can play
