Hiya boyos,
A couple of questions:
how is the client porting to *NIX / *BSD coming along?
From what I could find through the search there did seem to be some carefull testing in that area, but nothing substantial has come up yet?
I would really like to hear about your progress on that, perhaps I can help Alpha / Betatest the client for you...
On a related note, I read that a couple of ppl actually got the windows client to work under Wine. Would anyone care to explain to me how that may be accomplished on my machine?
All info required will be posted as requested, of course.
So far I can't get the installer to get past the "installer loading" stage, after which the winedebugger is started. I did once manage to get the client installed, and i'm trying to make it work, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
BlackSash out.

nope, the game client does not work under wine.
the GCQL runs, afaik, but i think you need to tweak your wine and use a real windows installation.
as far as VMWare goes, that should work , but dont expect to get anything more than 1 fpm (frames per minute) (full software emulation!)
as for the port, no clue. (need help?)
