But your numbers are a bit off.
Take a look at this, there the balance value's beeing used. (unless the dev's has changed some of them)

But it might be best to continue this conversation when this topic has been moved to Beta.

That az is your problem, I check the Beta page just as much as i check the rest of the DS website.
Beta is there for a reason; to discuss the changes needed to improve or enhance the game.
If any of you can't show the patience and dedication to check Beta, than i don't think they should even make comments at all.

Post where you should post, the question that Opposition is asking belongs in Beta.

i do agree this needs to be in beta. but i also think he is on to something. if they managed to create a ship creation button in wich you could spread out the points of you ship. it would improve the game.

this would however needs to be within limits. so that we don't get the drama of the cannon dessy's and torpedo dreads. so there should be a limit to all pieces of equipment. (wich should vary per ship class a dread with 20 partical cannons isn't a problem a dessy wich has that amount of cannons is a problem). but it is certainly worth looking into.

i agree that this is a good idea. but i also spot several flaws in it. how do you controll the arc's of those weapons so that a ship doesn't have all 360 degree weapons cause that would be insane and a fun spoiler.

no i think the current system is good. aldo it needs a bit more weapons to chance to. because now mods can regulate how ships work and make sure exploit ships like a picket with cannons and a dread with all torpedo's won't come to live again. cause that would ruine the game.
