The Range cut off on ICC Missile Dread is not set right I think. I was Firing all Missiles at Draffell at a range of 100 gu, I always thought that the minimum range was more like 300 gu or something. though I must admit I rarely use missile ships of any class or faction.

idealy, thats what the picket and escort (maybe not so much the escort) dessies are for, tho point defence still needs some work, got a bomber dread and stuck some PBs on it, was gettings 2 out of 3 ITmissiles shot at me, but with only 2 pulse beams

We did test this ship in a variety of different combat roles, and it DOES need some form of nerfage.

The problem however, doesn't lie in the ship itself, but in the IT's.
My personal opinion would be to set a minimum range on IT Missiles of 350-450gu. This way IT missile ships would still dominate at meduim to long range (as I think, intended).

The PD and ED do work to an extent: the ED is way more effective due to pulse beams and the PD is able to cope for a limited time, but neither is a totally effective counter.

Yeh, also, reduce the number of IT's. That should help it's damage output, and significantly lower it (it's way, way high). Also, PD needs to be fixed. Quite honestly, the old way of getting two or three ships firing at the same missiles was great in camparison to what we have now. Because the PD has to wait and check, you actually lose about 50-100 gu worth of PD range, also not to mention that all the beams don't actually fire.

To be honest, the ED and PD are fine as they are. you wont get much prestige in them, but they are like the Interdictor... they help a LOT.

The MD would be fine with the simple change to IT Missiles. Once you get inside it's minimum range, you are going to eat it for breakfast.

The test I had vs Feral Wulf was using a BD. I was extremely lucky in that I am a pretty experienced pilot and know that the only way to not get hurt by the MD is to sit almost on top of it, and hope to hell the splash hurts it more than you.

With the range adjustment to IT's, there would be a greater window of weakness for other ships to exploit, and the MD always has the option of retrofitting AR's for closer range targets.
