a few thoughs...

some people like me didnt start playing on the noob server and went right into the MV... we all know that a frig is useless in the MV and new players figure this out real quick... at this point they may ask what it takes or the fastest way to get into a better ship...
currently we tell them that supply is the way to go... of couse they cannt fly any of the supply ships but they can fly an engi... so we give them some money... teach them to mod... and tell them to swap the build with for a reload...
now that this is nolonger posable to change between a build and a reload what are new players going to do to gain pres in the MV?

keeping in mind that the loss of a ship will hurt the pres more now along with the uselessness of frigs...


have a few ideas on how and it shouldnt change the game that much

1)remove/lower the requierments to fly the lowest supply ships in the fleets


2)new supplys... same model as the small supply for each of the fleets but with a different loadout


3)give one reload to the engi so it has both a build and reload

Prestige gain should be enabled for armor dmamge now. Not sure if this has been confirmed though or the amount given.

Res loss scales with rank. An 0 pres player loses 0 pres (+1 if they crashed or 10 if sd) for losing a frig.

IIRC, yeah pres for armour damage is in, and much lower than hull damage.

I thought having to teach newbies to switch build/reload on engi is brilliant, it exposes them to modding and modules early on. They invariably love to sup, then when they can get a bigger sup they hop in it and use their knowledge of modding to beef it up. Killing this system would be terrible.
