The ingame particle system is far from perfect, as we all know. But sometimes exploding stations and dreads can cause clients to CTD (crash to desktop) for no reason, and it leaves no logs.

My belief is that it happens when a client is newly spawned or just arived at the area, and is still recieving information from the area.

Even my amazing system goes into lock down when im zoomed in on a dread/station exploding.

To fix this, rather than re-doing the entire draw system, you could create a new 'shockwave' effect for the station exploding, using a lot less particles, but having a much more dramatic effect. This could be used on the dreads aswell to cut down on the usage of the effect.

This was tested, by the way, Mithrandir jumped to a planet, 5 seconds after he got to the planet, my station would explode and he would CTD. West also experienced the crash when he spawned and me, drafell and mithrandir where SD'ing stations over and over to try and CTD.
