in my opinion

all small ship classes frigate class and some destoyers should boost more engines

these ships that have smaller armor / hull / weapon load, should be able to outrun just about everything in the game.

having frigates with only 2 engines not gona cut it atleast 3-4 have to do

i know that new engine spec is on the way but even then, they need the extra speed boost pittet against the more amount of weapons fighters etc on the larger ships.

this also should be true for all smaller surply enginers and transport ships.

rag, most probably acceleration aswell as speed will be controled via ship hull mass/size now. We will have to wait and see .

Yeah, its hull dependant. Engines give a base speed and acceleration, but each hull has a modifier, so small ships can accelerate more quickly with the same engine as well as hit a higher max speed.

Scouts will, for example, be in the mid 40s for speed, compared to the low teens for dreads.

It should make a difference, I'd think.

Once we get everything finished, though, feel free to weigh in again.
