I have though of a way to inigrate the beta weapon and componet level system in to the beta test game.

i thought of this idea just today so i thought it should post it - use or create a new research structure that upgrades build components at the factory

i.e. i pay 1000 of each build required resource to upgrade a weapon or componet to the next level this can be a great way to have a Veteran player spend money too. high ranking players could skip low level upgrades with the use of the endless supply of credits they have (most player ranked admiral and up have earned millions) to pay for higher level upgrades to speed up developement of advanced technologies to help organise the sitution a player can lock the building so no other player can take his build.

noobs who havent any level yet will just have to wait for the percess to repeat it self till they get to the desired level or get to a maxium set level i.e. a frigate or scout couldnt get any technology above the level 5

i.e. destroyers and cruisers couldnt get any technologies any adv. tech over the level 10

i.e. dreads and stations could get any level

or another way of doing it is, after a player has ordered an upgrade, and the upgrade has finished the factory starts selling the upgraded tech at a higher cost in resources and a shorter build time or longer build time

No...

Devices are mass produced at the factories and come basicly equiped.

Its then upto the ships owner to locate a shipyard to have work done to upgrade them.

soo...... upgrades are going to be done at the shipyard then?
hows that gonna work?
will the item have to be in cargo to get upgraded or can it get beefed up while mounted? or what?

problem with credits is that with most Fleet players,we dumped em in to Fleet treasuries which have since been wiped, which means some vets have no more credits than noobs.
