Please READ this post before replying. It is a valid idea, not another "we should have a reset" post.
Back in the day there were resets all the time and it made the game more fun. I mean. i know DS is an online game but it's still a game, once you've completed it you start over. Exept in normal games where you start over you don't come accross enemies in massive starships.
I know people don't want their prestige taken away from them, so why not make it optional? Also i know people don't want to come across massive EADs in thier assualt scouts, so here's my idea.
Make a dedicated pres reset server. Anyone who has reset thier prestige on or after a certain date can access this server, anyone who hasn't, can't. This would be a Grand admiral server; giving scope for long tearm play after reset. no-one wants to play a Ltn. cmdr game, and old vets reseting thier profile will get captain in a few hours.
Plus it would be very usefull for new players, demo, newbie and captain are just awfull, there's no help, no decent combat chalenges, i once went in there and saw someone in a scout circling for about an hour saying "how do i orbit?"
So there it is, flame all you like. Just tell me what you think.

Of course, the players who have reset their profile could play on the normal servers aswell

1) it's not a bad idea for those that just want to play around
2) resetting profiles was only going to be there IF they have a negivate score...after the patch i beleive
3) maybe you can make it where it resets weekly, biweekly, JUST FOR THIS SERVER, like it's own database or something...
