The moral of the planets in the mv cannot be changed....venus...earth...wolf...proc14c

all of them keep revolting...last night we had all of sol, and kluth had wolf

this morning half of each planets had revolted, and cannot be undone ( moral cannot be moved from low > high )

is this done on purpose so we have to keep moving around???

or a bug??

I fixed it! Hah!
After spending a few hours tinkering with the planets, I finally managed to come up with a solution.

The main issue is with the planet income and available money it has to spend on buying resources etc. Lets take Mars as an example.

It was suffering from being unable to sell anything to other planets around it due to an over abundance of Oxygen/Metal/Heavy-Metal in the Sol system. Too many other planets have the same resources and at cheaper rates, and so it was unable to generate sufficient income and went into recession. This would be followed by political instability and finally a revolt.

One way to fix this is to build the planet up, but make sure it is producing more food than it actually needs.

EDIT : DOESN'T WORK AS PLANET WON'T TRADE FOOD.
So instead of building a couple of extra mines you would build a couple of extra hydrofarms.
Now you need to create a demand for this food on the other planets. Any barren planet that produces a rare material (ie Callisto/Titan/Pluto) is ideal for this. You first need to increase its population and base food reserves to a sufficient level and then scrap the hydrofarm. You can only do this after the population is at its peak as the planet population won't grow past its own food supply capabilities without you manual disbanding infantry.

Now you have surplus food on Mars, and a demand for this food on Titan. Just make sure Mars(agri planet) is producing more than enough food for itself and Titan(or other planet) else the other planet will run out.

This then solves the recession problems.

I hope everyone understands this issue.

On possible fix to the population growth is for the population to continue growing until it actually runs out of food, or until reserves get to below say 100 unit.

A possible solution to having to micro-manage each system would be to have high tech lvl planets (8/9/10) being able to produce a luxury commodity which is traded with the smaller planets. This gives the small planets something to spend their stockpiles of cash on, and the larger hi-tech planets a source of income.
Planets would use this resource at a rate of 1 per 5 pop for each update cycle. All the time a planet has this resource in its stockpile it gains a minimal improvement to its production.

Whoa... it's actually sorta like... real life compared to shoving food into colonists faces which makes them happy. Good job F.

Way too complicated a morale system, and I'm a fan of the old research system
