Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up that the trade route stuff is being worked on and is not fully implemented in the BETA version just yet.

I have changed it, so a Port now shows the full amount of resources on the planet available for buying. So now, if a planet has 20,000 metals, you'll see an icon in the port for 20,000 metals... however, the tool tip says "Buy 1000 metals for 99 credits"... so you can still only purchase the resources up to the max amount for 1 cargo unit. This is also a very quick way of seeing how many resources are on a planet without going to the F3 view.

Update: Trading code is finished and up and working. AI transports have been re-enabled with better AI for moving goods between planets.

about that... noticed that when/if a planet revolts and reverts to a neutral affiliation, trannys from that planet keep moving, assuming its maintaining trade relations with whatever planet it was tradeing with before the revolt

Noticed that trannies do move around more and are A LOT more active in their surroundings. Anytime I moved near a planet or attacking a player near a planet they were at, they would come and engage me. Rather annoying really but interesting.

I've had lots of enemy transports come to my recently captured planets too. They don't seem to cancel the trade routes with their former allied planets.
