i would like the option where the regular subscriped players have the option to transfer their current rank/bage/status to their beta profile.
gives us way to test with all ship clasess
if anyone want to test rank up they can use alternate profiles like i do

if people had thier original profiles cloned to beta im pretty sure more peopkle would play there.. coz thats one huge let down having to start at ensign again where its hard to get prestige coz no-one plays there....
viscious circle.

Not going to happen... in fact, after the next patch.. all beta profiles are going to be wiped back to zero.
Reason is, some people would just play beta and not subscribe... since in beta, you can gain rank/prestige.

I think Ragg is only implying that subscribed accounts should have their prestige scores carried over. If he isn't, then I am.

Turn press gain in beta off, and allow people to use the Stats they have in the full game in the beta.
Then people can still test the big ships in beta.
And Its not like 40 scouts shooting 2 rail guns is much of a stress test anyway...

Faustus didn't touch on this, but...
We also need a variety of ranks to help test the beta side. This, additionally, makes it self-defeating to transfer rank back and forth.
And, we want people to test without reguards to what it might do to their profile. Making beta prestege matter on your release account is couterproductive to this effort.

im not saying that the profiles should be linked, i rather not have any ventures in beta reflect on my standard profile.
it should be a one time option, from then it should be fixed by it self.
and it should only be an option for players with an active Subscription.
i just dont see how i can get/find the time or players / server base for rankup new profile to FA with all bages if i want to test all ships in the new interface code.

Ahh.... thats an ideal for subscribed accounts to get their full profile in beta too....
Sorry, Rag, that I missed that point...

people who play beta should be entitled to play for free because they have to deal with bugs, lack of people, ballance issues and other bullcrap associated with beta. During original DS beta noone payed. I don't see a reason why people should now. Look at other games and tell me how many games force you to pay for the beta.

Faustus has issues with differentiating Idea and Ideal...he tends to distract us from this point by creating space combat simulation games.

Oh... I just thought it was a recurring typing error.
Clever diversionary technique that, creating space simulation games...
