Currently in beta, when you zoom out on the Nav map, planets, clusters, and other objects fade away the further you go to keep your screen from getting clustered. While this is nice, and saves my eyes from info overload, its also annoying in large systems. Today in Eri, I would zoom out to head back to the gate from a mere 50,000gu away, and I wouldn't even see it on the map. (Thus, assuming the gate is on the far side of the screen and I'm in the center, there is 100,000 gu's showing...)

I think the limit should be bumped up - planets should fade away at least twice the distance they do now. So, only when the map is showing, say, 250,000gu's should things disappear.

This shouldn't really be a problem - if you're looking for another system, you're going to zoom further out than that anyway, so the limit shouldn't affect that. As far as I can tell, there are no downsides to making it twice, maybe three times as far. It would certainly make it easier to get around within the Nav Screen (that and J working again within F2).

J in F2 working is a must...and the zoom fading at 3x or not at all would realy be great. In Beta senario today, one could not locate planets more than 30k gu away as the fade removed them before there were on the screen. Shigernafy has the jist of it.

It seems like the beta scenario fade is the same as beta MV. May be just a small bug easy to fix.

@Shig I would like to see the fade like the current Sensor Range in Tactical which can be determined by everyone him/herself
