I had just left Beta, and will never, EVER return. Why? I am sick of the newbies who use it as a uber-newbie server. I see all kinds of things that are DEFINATLY not for testing. I had someone PCM A planet I was using for testing even AFTER several requests to not bomb the planet.
I refuse to play Beta from now on.

Don't let that discourage you. Lots of people play lots of different ways in there. It may not always coincide with your personal plans.
Me? I'm testing different weapons and bombing now. Some are testing ecm and beacons. Some are just happy they got that nice new cruiser. It's all good.

Red,
As you may or not know the RoC is enforced in the beta servers too. We mods cant do anything about such actions if there isnt a /report about it. Since most mods use the beta client they will get your reports even while in the beta servers.

Well, I was just trying to get used to the Beta Server, trying to figure out things at first. Kinda hard to do when you have a bomber cruiser trying to level your planets.
I was ticked, but definatly not frothing-at-the-mouth. I Asked Dr. Evil about this, if somebody attempts to bomb when you are testing certain stuff, is it against the RoC, got absoutly no response, so I dropped the issue there.
The thing is, I do remember this being enforced in the past (I have seen Mods yell at normals for bombing their planets), but is it enforced today?

The whole idea behind the beta servers is to test the new code before it is released, if they are making it a point to play as in newbie / FA then it is counter to what the beta servers themselves are set up for. Its fine that they want to test bombing but as long as u let them know that you are testing things then they should let you alone. If it does get to the point that it is impossible to test the code then report them.

Nice to know, BTW they WERE just trying to level all the ICC Worlds, definatly no testing. They had already mass-bombed two previous worlds with a Bomber Cruiser (Boonie I and Azuk) so I doubt they were testing bombing.

It's like in the last betatest, lots of unsubscribed players abuse the betaserver for "real" gameplay, as they can't get larger ships on the release servers.

I don't think Red was trying to track any bugs as much as he was just trying to figure out the new layouts and stuff.
It's still annoying though when you ask someone to stop and they ignore you.

Yeah, first I was trying to figure the whole interface out. Considering that you have to literally relearn the game all over again.
