Mods and the long road to Chief Marshall |

Everyone knows how long and boring it can be to advance through the higher ranks. At times it can be incredibly frustrating and it actually caused me to take the last 4 years off from DS. Last night the idea came to me that the monotony could be alleviated if there were rewards between the higher ranks. I was wondering what people would think if the game awarded additional mod slots at the halfway point between all of the ranks above Admiral. For example, everyone would keep their initial 8 slots but halfway to Fleet Admiral, Grand Admiral, Marshall, and Chief Marshall one additional mod slot would be awarded. If someone maxed out their rank, they would have an additional 4 slots for a total of 12 mods. This would serve to keep players interested in DS during the time between ranks, and reward players who slug it out. Thoughts?
