Does anyone else feel like they should be more useful and give benefits for more of them, cause right now they are for building a ship, and then the buildings.

My thoughts would be like cheaper costs on ships and device changes, or stronger hull amount, which would be a pain to do, but it would be a use for more research. Thoughts?

I could see research giving a bonus to defensive structures with more than the required amount since the operate at reduced efficiency with a tech shortage.

u can use tech lvl same way as allegience bonus on a planet. more tech giving more building efficiency perhaps?

would require some rebalancing of lvl 1 and 2 bases maybe, but sure, sounds ok

only things i can see being upgraded by tech level (which is not upgraded by allegiance or complicated by the mechanics) would be morale and PD%

morale could fall less (or rise more) with increase in tech

increase to PD% with increase in technology would reduce damage to structures, but IMO there should be a better mechanism than "increase PD% by x%".

something along the lines of +x% PD per 20-25 tech with the presence of more than 1 tier x PD base being necessary (conditional bonus)

Man, I wish I could load technology and drop it onto other planets.

I know there's a good reason why it's currently this way, though, probably just to put a damper on the growth of planets, and to give an engineer time to make informed decisions rather than pressing buttons as fast as humanly possible.
