There's already a cloak timer for Kluth. U can't cloak immediately after decloaking.

Kluth have already been balanced enough IMO. It's not easy for them to just dominate everything without breaking a sweat like in 1.5.
And all the kluth thought it was balanced back then....lol.

... how in God's name it is possible that 8 Kluth ships are parking in orbit of a hostile planet with sensors and fat def?
Any idea?
And Cloaking Timer means not a timer between activate cloaking ... i mean a time for any hit ... same as the Docking Timer ...!
Thank you ....

The OP is suggesting that cloak is put on an OOC timer like docking is, so that if you get shot you can't cloak.
The benefit of the Kluth is their ability to move freely, so yes, eight dreads cloaked around a planet is entirely possible. Just go somewhere else, it isn't that hard.

i cant seriously understand
why blaming cloaked luths in orbit, when you tried to dock with a station on a planet when you know that there are cloaked ships ?
twice ?

Hey,

and why not timer for icc-shields?
you can only rotate them while ooc (or they regenerate only while ooc) [ This Message was edited by: NoBoDx on 2012-03-19 18:31 ]

That makes no sense at all.
Cloak is part of Kluth armor. Even after we begin cloaking, (and can't fire), it still takes some time till our sig drops below 0.0 and you lose us.
How about I reverse the idea... Once your ICC ship's shields get taken out... there's a shield timer. As long as you get hit within the timer period, your shields can't regenerate.
Does that sound dumb to you? Probably as dumb as the cloak/hit timer thing.

This.
1 Kluth cloaked around an ICC planet with 8 ICC dreads can't do anything without dying horribly.
Numbers roll you, anytime, everytime.

The only thing overpowered about K'Luth in 1.5 was Wolf Squadron.

i seem to remember pb being the luth terror of 1.5
spent months on end in fs defending our few planets from nearly never ending attacks from them. They taught me to hate, fear, and then hunt kluth.
Im glad i was a part of 1.5

Is it not enough that K'luth are fragile little eggs?
Have you ever actually flown one? a CRUISER has like 3 lines of hull, while other factions can be seen with 5-6.
Also, cloaking to escape is really a bad idea if you can avoid it.
Always ambush with cloak, always run with jump drive.
Escaping via cloak will get you ravaged. (but is the only way in a dictor field)
