So yea this is pretty much it

for a while now I have loved Dark Space.....and I always will.

but I have seen a constant pattern one that truely gets old, the metaverse is great, love the conflicts and all but for the five years that I have been here the constant pattern of capturing planets and refreshing the cycle has become tiring, now im not saying we should get rid of the old way to capture but its just boring after a while the same pattern over and over, why not mix it up a bit.

the trading system for resources in the meta is flawed, from what I have seen the transport ships are pretty much random and non essential after a while. in war it is a fact that supplies are the key to victory and the lines of war are drawn around the most effective supply routes. so why not give Dark Space a supply dependance, think of it, it would give the game more spice, planet building can be selective between, a verdant world, forge, and so forth and it would actualy matter. and drop in some trade ports in space to focus capture on.

so you could focus on capturing planets with a fleet but with a drawback of longer capture times, or you can capture a port and get an increase, the more ports you capture the faster planet caping could be. each transport ship would be essential for future space port needs.....

I dont care if this isnt going to happen I just wanted to put it out there.

planet-capping black and white style
you either bomb the planet back into stoneage (faster but you get evil points)
or you help them by giving them food and wood and help them to build their planet (slower, but you get good points)

The focus is around ship combat, and although more planet flavour would be nice, I wouldn't want to see them become insanely niche objects that require insane levels of maintenance.

Nice in thought, doesn't always work in practice.
