I was thinking all purchaseable enhancies should have a durability on em. The only exception would be Thari's and the Zlygs(if it still exists).

Uniques don't have durability, all those you named are uniques aside from Makkar's Ship Booster. It's why I pointed that out when Makkar's was first added, that it should either have durability or be a unique, especially for it's low credit cost, otherwise it's kinda ridiculous when you can load a ship with 8 of them for cheap and never have to worry about losing them. The other uniques are priced on the low side as well, aside from the engine trails.

leave ship trails, they cant be stacked and are just plain nice to have around. makes your ship around the standard (due the fact ALOT of players have killer enh's on)

I think ship trails should be cheaper if you make them breakable. One does not pay 2,500 credits for enhancements which principally give prettier trails. 6% speed can be bought for way less... and few care for the turn and thrust rates, I think.

they are unique for a reason. uniques don't break and aren't stackable.
if they could break, only fair if they were stackable, and that would be OP

This reminds me, I've been wondering why the Build Drone enhancements have dura but are 1,500 credits while the uniques (aside from the trails) are all cheaper, are more useful, and have no dura. Haven't been able to get any answer to that one aside from "They've always been that price". I guess that explains why hardly anyone uses them unless they're gotten as drops like mine.

personally I think enhancements should be faction specific.
ICC - any defensive enh as they are the defensive faction
Kluth - any energy enhancement as they are the "dependant on energy" faction
UGTO - any weapon enchancement as they are "middle of the road" faction.
just my opinion.

why cant kluth use defense enhancements? everyone knows their armor is paper
why can icc use weapon enhancements? everyone knows rails dont do damage
why cant ugto use energy enhancements? everyone knows they already have plenty of energ...oh.

because def on UGTO makes em damn near impossible to kill if they have supply nearby.
becaue ICC suck,will ALWAYS suck and SOME devs like it that way.

first of all rails do do damage, more than pcannon over 400gu.
second we could have faction specific uniques, but reg ench shouldn't be faction restricted.
ICC wasn't sucking for a long while, keeping ugto struggling to keep cin, but after fixed/faster pd those people in mds smashing space bar moved on to other factions or rage quit
kluth might want a def ench to survive just a little bit longer, or a weapons ench to deal out major damage instead of all energy, and 48% def means more paper to rip to get at that hull
icc might want to shore up its "defense mode energy woes", or try to beef up its weapons
ugto may want to be able to tank, and beleive it or not some ships run out of power pretty fast and the ugto stereotype of being pwnzor tankers actually isn't really true, it usually only applies to stations because our turning doesn't affect firepower then, unlike our other ships
