curious is the anti cloak around planets going to be something the 2 other factions have to build to nerf us or is it just a given for all the planets not under luth control.....oh wait are you doing ours to?

Not truly anti-cloak. The system lets all planets bypass cloak, and fire on the enemy. Summation?
1) Planets see all ships within a set distance. They can lock onto and fire as normal.
2) Players will not detect a ship if it is cloaked. They just won't.
3) Players can use blindfire to attack the enemy, based on where the planet is firing.
4) Planets without defenses are useless versus cloaked ships. The advantage comes from the planet being able to fire on cloaked ships. If it can't fire, then it's useless for detecting the cloakers.

Yep, thats it."Nothing personal, you're red, and I'm bull."

This 'info' comes from a 2 month old post by some of the devs. I don't remember what was the thread, but I believe it was a complaint for things like - "K'luth killing me at Michelle when I had jumped out of battle and wanted repair"."K'luth should not be able to hide near planets!"."The cloak is so good that a dread can practically uncloak at a sensor planet, destroy all ships and platforms around it, and cloak to live through it."
(The original sentences were unobtainable and pretty long, these are the nearly accurate and short versions)

Honestly, Kenny, I think you had posted in it too. Infact, I faintly remember you saying the capabilities of a dread with cloak, which I have quoted here. Thread necromancy might help, methinks.

Speculation and actual information difference from each other.

Allied information sharing that is currently in place counters your statement. If a planet or player sees a enemy, everyone of that faction will get to see a enemy.

We could work on the system to do just what you said, but i would not consider doing so.

p.s. got a link to the thread you talk about, i can't find it.

It's not what I said, its what I remember of that thread. Though, now I'm doubting whether my memory of 'visible to planets only' thing is true or not...

BTW, gratz on a successful necromancy.
