ECCM Toggle mode to Ping |

Could the ECCM device please get a “Pinging” mode toggle option like the shield modules on ICC ships.
I find it quite frustrating to have to turn the device on and off, when trying to detect nearby K'luth vessels specially when managing multiple ECCM devices at the time, this simply doesn't mix during combat. With “Macroing / Automation” being forbidden by the RoC, I can't make use of my G19 keyboard to help me out
I would be pleased with just a toggle mode option that would turn the device on for a brief few seconds and then turn it off again and repeat when the cool down cycles completes.
I'd be even more pleased if the ECCM ping mode would work slightly different.
+Increase the signature increase by 200%
+Reduce the cool down time by 25%
-Toggle mode limited to 1 ECCM device per ship
-Reduce the range by 50%
-Increase the energy requirement by 200%
-Bigger more visible ECCM pulse rings (to allow K'luth to time there attacks)
ECCM (Pinging mode)
Characteristics
Area: 500 + (Level * -25) Gu
Area Effect: Increases signature in Area for a brief few seconds
Energy Requirement: 1.4/s ~ 6.8/s (depending on Level)
Cool-down Time: 7~34 seconds (depending on Level)
Now I'm not 100% sure how device levels work but I found a Hull Class table indicating ship level.
I assume that equipment level is equal to ship level. If this isn't the case then the below idea on how the device should function would be incorrect.
With the above ECCM device characteristics in ping mode, it would make scouts more suited... No it would make the scout “The” perfect tool in detecting K'luth vessels at a far greater distance then a station. Even tho the station has a shorter detection radius, his ECCM device in ping mode, would ping almost 4 times more often then the scouts his ECCM device. Any K'luth that comes with in that range of a station is sure to be detected and manually fired upon.

The only reason why K'luth still has significant population is because pinging needs skill, and skill cost=frustuation x (your personal emotion multiplier) x (number of ECCM on ship)
Please, no penalty can measure to the lame removal of skill from pinging.
ProTip :- In scouts and ships with many ECCM slots, hotkey each ECCM to numbers individually and serially, and use the left hand solely for using the devices.

why not remove cloak at all ? its way to difficult to turn eccm on an off all the time
maybe because eccm-pinging ist still a (accepted) bug

Of course, when you say "skill" what you really mean is "boredom threshold high enough to sit watching the ECCM gadget and pressing P twice when it recharges.
Seriously, it's rather dull.
But I don't think auto-pinging is the answer, as people might have noticed in my posts on electronic warfare.
