Or rather a specific set of enhancements, namely Defense Power and Defense Upgrade.
Under the existing system they, respectively, upgrade regen speed of Armour/Shields, and increase fortitude of Armour/Shields.
I'm wondering what this change means in terms of existing ships equipped with specific Enhancements, given that Defense Upgrade will upgrade only armour in the new draft... and this is, from an ICC point of view, "not gud".
I can understand why the change - obviously, increasing shield regen favours ICC. (personally I would rather not see that changed, but we cannot have cake and eat it, I suppose)
The crux of the issue is, of course, the Enhancements currently purchased for intended purposes... will there be a refund, providing that these changes will be pushed through? Personally I see little reason not to, as cunning ICC equipping enough of these upgrades will be formidable due to rather swift Shield Regeneration, but I wonder about the aftermath one such a change would bring.

don't Armor upgrades Gives a BOnus to ICC more than UGTO? i mena, ICC do have armor as well?..sucky but still do

In Beta currently Defense Power enhancements increase Shield.
In Beta currently Defense Upgrade enhancements increase Armor.
In Release currently Defense Power enhancements increase Shield/Armor regen.
In Release currently Defense Upgrade enhancements increase Shield/Armor.
If Beta changes to Release, ships with Defense Power enhancements will have their Shields boosted.
If Beta changes to Release, ships with Defense Upgrade enhancements will have their Armour boosted.
ICC Ships equipped with Defense Upgrade enhancements for stronger shields will suddenly get armor enhancements instead of the shield enhancement they went for.
I am confused how whether they benefit ICC more or not matters to the question what will happen to those ships who will have an Enhancement that does not provide the bonus previously promised.
