I don't like what you've done to my Interceptor Frigate.

My whole tried and proven strategy revolves around the P torps and now your going to take them away! I always mod my frig to replace the missiles with torps, and i know that now missile can't do that now, but now your taking away the remaining torp.

I love my frigate the way it is and i really don't want that to change. :



P.S Though if you give midshipmen engys I'll shut up for now.........

perhaps put sabot missiles on the interceptor frig? Because sabots are the fastest (i think?) and its an interceptor ship.

Do we know whether sabots will be fitted into cannon type slots or missile or torp slots?

I think the small-ships change with a strong emphasis on missiles is very intriguing, given the armor boost that larger ships have received; it should enable the smaller ships to stand off more effectively vs larger ships. The problem then is whether the missiles can do enough damage to the large ships to matter; then, whether the missiles can do anything at all to smaller ships that can dodge them easily.

The risk we're taking is that frigates will become essentially useless against larger ships because they can't do enough damage after getting past the PD, and that they will also be useless against small ships because the missiles are easily dodged. At least with torps I can detonate them for near-hit effects when I miss. Maybe missile speed could be increased?

Pack of small missile vessels work against uber PD.
Actually, missile hit rate is depend on [Missile Turning Speed] per [Missile Speed].
So missile misses more often if missile speed has increased.

You won't be able to take on a dread in a scout or frigate, regardless of torp or missiles. You're just not meant to be able to - in packs, sure, but not single handedly, or with a friend in a scout too.

Most probably those IT missiles will turn into AR missiles - or we'll change how missiles turn and behave based on levels.
