Seperating Planet Defence and Planet Point Defence |

Basically, right now, we have two planet defence buildings in darkspace.
Fighter Base III
Defence Base III
I'm suggesting we split this up to:
Fighter Base III (Where, perhaps, you have to select what kind of fighters you want the bases to spawn(Ie: bombers, fighters, or intercepters. moot idea, maybe)
Anti Ship Base III (This, obviously, fires anti-ship weapons. ICC would get a (long range) fusion torp and a railgun, UGTO would get a (long range) proton torp and a particle cannon and k'luth would get an AM torp and one psi cannon (Note: If psi cannons start lagging people out, maybe it can be changed to two AM torps, or to a disruptor)
Point Defence Base III (This fires anit-MIRV weapons and such. ICC get a point defence lazor, UGTO get a chemical laser, and k'luth get a disruptor)
I'm also thinking that perhaps the point defence base range should be increased, so it can start targeting bombs immediatly (ie: from <=1kgu of it).
Anyway, just some random idea I had.

I agree with the range increase, but I have a dif suggestion..
Disruptors: 1000
Chemical Lasers: 750
Pulse Beams: 500
The disruptors are the ones that need to be able to shoot first. Make it harder to bomb luth as right now you just turn away at 400 and you are fine. Either that or increase the speed of them, as damage doesnt really matter when it comes to PD.
4 ICC def bases could take out the bombs. then you have these assault bases. The bomber has to turn away sooner so even less bombs hit, requiring even more players to bomb because if you dont neutron(which will probably be more strategic in 484) you have to get through the shields. With shields being stronger and bombs being weaker, this will be a LOT harder.

Not cannons for Anti-Ship. Lasers. Big, long range ones.
And point defense lasers: More than one per pd-base.
