I just tried out this game and see a lot of potential, however, despite the great graphics, ship designs, and other attractive eye candy, can only predict that it will remain a small niche game. While many desire the unlimited PvP, it will continue to religate this nicely crafted game to the ranks of lesser games due largely to the ganking of 'veteran' childish players on potential new subscribers trying to learn the mechanics of the game in supposed 'home' areas.

It may be possible to save the game by invoking concentual PvP or implementing negative prestige when attacking players of dicidedly lower ranking.

Just a few words for the devs to chew on.... Flame away, it's your game and unless some changes are made, it will remain yours and small....

are we really that bad of a community? true, their are some annoying high ranking pricks, but generally, if you ask anybody a question, they'll answer it. in full.

The newbie server is here for players to learn the basics and repair for the hoard of veterens and players that is the Metaverse. You also don't need to start out with PvP in DarkSpace, as there are many other aspects you can try to rank up within the Metaverse without even firing a single weapon (Engineering, Supply and Repair, and Building for example).

Generally, if you declare that you are a new player, other players will stick their necks out to help you and make sure you're happy.
