instead of the usual *beep* when a missile is coming or a ship is detected i think we should have something different. Like maybe a computer voice saying "Incoming Missiles" or "Enemy Signatures Detected" lol so if ur afk for a second doing somethiong u will know whats goin on. And it would be better than the annoying ear piercing beeps. Tell me what you think.

the tone's been changed, so its not the ear-splitting beep it used to be

Having a voiced message play is not practical at this point in time, the sound plays whenever a missile enters range. If it was a voice you would get something like inc-inc-inc-inc-incoming mis-mis-mis-missile. You'd probably get the point alright but it wouldn't do your ear drums any good

Great idea, I like "Missile launch detected" better though.. Who voiced the 'tactical, navigation, collision alert' and the people checking the tach drives? I think a bit more 'voice' would be a nice touch.

Probably Faustus' Wife....
well, it sounds kinda synth, yet femin at the same time.
but more ambient voices would be nice when you're close up or near a station or such. I've always liked that.

I only thought the Agincourt had those.

how about they allow you to select your own soundtrack for each response
Tada all anoying sounds fixed
Ie: you can choose replace the normal engine sounds with another sound, like the sound of a car alarm, (might get anoying pretty quick though)

It's best the game supply the sound files.. some people are lazy. Darkspace could use more music too.. didn't Drafell make a few tracks?

I mean still supply the basic sound track files, but allow them to change sound tracks to other provided ones.

I always understood the Agincourt to say "Lag Operations Stable"...
