I was thinking, DS offers a free trial for those who want to try the game. This game centers on ship combat, so there are for trial usually1 frigate, 3 scouts, l transport, 1 extractor, and 1 bomber corvette. For K'luth however, there is 1 scout, 1 transport, 1 extractor, and 1 bomber corvette. The 1 scout can cloak; making it a great scouting ship. However, there is no light support combat ship [frigate]; people 'taking the game for a spin' have only the scout and carrier to get a 'feel' for combat as K'luth.

To emphasize the hit and run strategy, the new frigate would have 1 plate of fore armor; this demands that the pilot cloak after a strike, and to strike only during 'oportune' moments ei not attacking while surrounding.
It would be a midshipman's ship, so it would have a modest offensive loadout, perhaps, 2 disruptors 2 topedo 2 psi?

I had some free time, modeled and did a quick skin.. Also thought of a name.. 'Carpal', a bone, like 'Fang', and 'Talon.' It's sort of a funky mix of K'luth ships, but small and cute

Thankfully, as little as Wings3D is known, Blender conveniently allows for importing from Wings3D files, so you don't have to export from Wings to a different type and import that.

That is a sweet model dude. Fits right into the current K'luth fleet, unlike those far-out UGTO designs.

Thanks!

They're not far out.. they're new
Hows the idea?
The 'I'm an Arsehole' -D. Leary came up. Call me weird, immature, and whatnot.. I like it:P.. so implement this idea, or I'll be forced to purchase a pink 1967 conv. with full leather/ seal eyes/ grease burgers/ nuclear weapons/ frozen Dukes/ etc etc...

The view is handled by using the numberpad. It may seem a little freaky but you get used to it, and it allows you to work pretty rapidly.

Other important keys if find myself using are:

"S" = Scale. Allows you to resize objects and vertice groups.
"R" = Rotate - exactly what is says on the tin. Is context based depending on view.
"K" = Cutting/Knife. The most useful option here is the Face Loop Cut option. If effectively splits a face face in half along your prefered axis. Great for chopping cylinders into smaller sections.
"Shift" = Precision modifier. If you hold it when doing scale or rotate actions, you will find it enables a much finer degree of control and orientation.
"ESC" = The universal undo. If you have just moved something and its wrong, you can press escape and it will undo that action.
"D" = Duplicate. This will either duplicate and entire object, or just the selected portions.

A good series of tutorials can be found here : -
