I think it would be cool if you could get some credits depending on your rank
every 24 hours u get ur pay so u dont have to mine and waste time to try and get some money
Midshipman: 100 credits
Esign: 110 credits
2nd Leutenant: 100 credits
1st Leutenant: 150 credits
Leutenant Commander: 150 credits
Commander: 200 credits
Captain: 500 credis
2nd Rear Admiral: 1500 credits
1st Rear Admrial: 2000 credits
Vice Adrmiral: 3000 credits
Admiral: 5000 credits
Fleet Admrial: 6000 credits
Grand Admiral: 10000 credits

once you get oh.... 15,000 thats really all you need
thats a couple good peices of salvage right there
or you can run resources around, hauling trannys full of metals into crescent is quite profitable
or you can ask one of these people for a handout.
you dont HAVE to mine

Still the idea is sound
once the economy is back to a working order its would be handy to have a "salary" that way you will have a chance to get good stuff once in a while

i just think this sounds realistic because
reall officers in the army/navy/airforce also get a salery and then it is also 24 hours of 'play' time where u dont sit in the lobby so i would think this idea should be prosesed in the next available patch

2nd luey's (butter bars) are worthless as tits on a boar hog. At least an esign has been promoted once.... Butter bars are the officers that DID'NT get meritoriosly promoted out of school.

In other words its a typo
Maybe take all those numbers down by a 0 or something. Or have it corrispond to in game time. Like 10 credits for every hour IG for a midshipman & so on.

24 hours is a lot of ingame time, now that I think about it...how about every hour in game, instead?

A Few things:
Assuming you're basing your qualified statements on US military grades,
Ensign (US Navy/USCG)=O-1 Pay grade
2LT (US Army, USAF, USMC) also=O-1 Pay grade
2LT=Ensign.
The officers "meritoriously promoted out of school" to O-2 (LTJG for Navy/USCG; 1LT for all others) are only Lawyers, and Medical-types. All other officers start off as butter bars regardless of service (unless they are warrant officers).
I have to say, I miss being a Lieutenant...I got away with a lot of "stuff" I can't get away with now....
Merry Christmas, all

its not a typo i made it that way because at start u need a tad more money and the numbers are fine because every 24 hours in ds=31 days real life for some ppl and thats ok because some ppl play to much and some play to little

I was under the impression you were paying for playing, and now you want paying for playing and paying! I think a better way would be to play and pay, then get paid to play, but also pay to your clan to pay, so theerfore the Fleet head can pay you to play you (or should that be to play with you??) and also to get paid for killing paying players is unethical.
No sack the idea.
