I propose taking the infantry off of stock transports. "Why?" I'm glad you asked!

1. Trannys spawning out of shipyards stock with inf and dropping on invaded SY planets is a problem.

2. Honestly, are 2 regular inf worth anything?

3. In the event of a reset, my plan is this: 3-5 (adjust at will) planets in the factions home system will be automatically friendly. Call them the Inner Core, or whatever you'd like, but they are automatic safe haven at the beginning. This is the most crucial time, because you'll have to build these planets into inf planets for further conquest of the MV.*

4. There is only one problem with this: What to do if a faction is exterminated? BackSlash already pointed this out, but I don't know what to think, whether it's enough to kill the idea or not. Can a faction come back with regular inf? Or is there another way to come back? Ideas and thoughts welcome, maybe we can think of something else.

*This will slow down the conquest of the MV, as you wont have inf for all of the planets. It will require planets to be built instead of just having on unit dropped and then moving on, and may make strongholds appear.

I agree with Darkspacian in that it is interesting... I'm... honestly not sure how to go on with it right now. I could clearly see both the positives and the negatives of the system you suggest (though, since you were so kind as to give the positives, I'm having few negatives come to me right now.

*shakes his head*

Maybe more later...

Allow players to put inf into their storage?

The real question is: What do we do with scenario games, since the server clears out all resources for a faction and all storage for players, every new map.

Hmm... This doesn't seem practical AT THE MOMENT. However, I like what Gid said about allowing inf in storage. Might be interesting in the future... who knows.

well from what i have seen..those frigate bombers can wipe out most small to medium planets..so a team, of 3-6 players ..2 in frig bombers and 4 in trannys can take a planet easy.

just my observation.

Good idea.

But, for the time being allow trannys spawned at HOME gates to have inf. this accomodates a slower transition and also allowes for scenarios to go on unhindered.

also for inf storage heres a conn. your shipyard gets attacked and you pull out tranny and drop the 10 elites u got on it.

no fair.

SO, have a second storage in the home gate for say... two transports?

thoughts?

Very easily solved by having no inf on a tranny when you spawn from SY. However from homegate you do have inf.
