ok, so i was a weeeee bit bored, got to thinking (usually a bad sign  ), and thought that theres probably more info in the alt-p display than most people need (universecontext::render anyone?), where a little ping/fps window would be enough
so by way of illustration i grabbed some screenshots, and poked and prodded and generally made them feel like a piece of meat
