Okay right now almost ALL ports are low on stuff..
that is NOT good.

the initial idea was good, scrap items so planet gets the rescouces back.
however right now ALL items are affected.

this idea would make the decay manageable.
Currently left click on item will let you buy 1 item of choice.

future idea.

Left click
Will let you buy 1 item you selected.

Right click on item
Will put a big X through the item as indication the auto decay will affect that item.

2nd right click
Will remove the item from the decay list and thus it will remove the X label
effectively removing the items from the decay list.

Now you can still buy items with an X thru it, just as long is it has enough stock.
as soon as the item reaches 0 the item icon is removed from port and will also be removed from the decay list.

With this i think it should be fairly easy to keep mod planets stocked and not full of 5000 IE engines.

Ummm....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't adding a manual action to an automatic function totally elimilate the automatic nature of that function?

The decay rate need to be slowed down It's too fast you build a item and it decays in a few hours.maybe set it to start if there is over 10 diferant built items starting with what is sold to the port like IE engines and drives would decay first. That would keep needed items in the port longer.

Why not make a scraping port?? Anything stock that gets sold to the planet is auto recycled getting 60% resources back on what it would take to build the item.

This way you wouldnt need a timer for useless ship items in the original port. Basically you wont have built items being scrapped.
