we believe we should have shipyards that can be controlled by people like little shipyrad ship's they would need massive storage for materials or go back to the idea of when u had to wait for the jumpgate to get enuff credits and put that idea into shipyards

It's an interesting idea... I can think of pros and cons for it... but it is overall interesting. Could see it being shot down, though.
My main problem, though, doesn't relate to the idea. It relates to your usage of "We".
Who are you referring to when you say, "We"? Is there more than one part to you, or do you have like the backing of others, or what?

I would think not. Is the instant gratification age we live in now so ingained into you that you can't use a shipyard at a planet? What is the purpose of a flying shipyard? Obviously, you'd like you spawn your insta-kill ships from your insta-spawning shipyards about 2000 gu from an enemy planet....but why? There really isn't a point for this. It would kill gameplay...
And Grimith, I think "they" are a part of a larger hive mind.

I don't really see us benefiting from this... although mekos ship docking stations idea is close to this and I FULLY SUPPORT THAT IDEA.

sounds interesting....
This ship would be a station class ship.
compared to the station it will be low on weapons and armor but high on storage *for the metals*
you just need to have enough metals in your hold for others to use and spawn.
if your in a fleet you can decide to only grant spawn access to YOUR fleet and no one else.

See, all our DS Ships are clearly not for athmospheric flight, let alone for landing..
Maybe they can all do an emergency landing, but i personally think all SY's should be in space to start with.
Have an orbital structure along with a ground structure for support. Then, you could expand upon that and make those Orbital Structures somewhat mobile, but relying on contact with a ground support Structure when they run out of supplies - that will greatly limit their range of operations.
This way a Fleet could still "detach" a SY of theirs and fly it into Deep Space (at 3gu/s, on AI) but they would only be inclined to do so on special occassions.
