The latest in keeping your enemies from capping your planet

The WHK would be a single-shot, non-reloadable weapon that would take up a special slot on your ship (which one depends on which is least used ). It would function much in the same way that the Shadow jump-point destabilizers worked in B5, you would aim it at a wormhole that has invaded your personal planetary space and fire. The shot would cause the wormhole to become destabilized, heavily damaging (or destroying???) ships coming through before it would collapse on itself. (a possible option is that the WH device that initiated the wormhole is slightly damaged)

You would need very high tech levels to make one, plus large amounts of resources to build and lots of credits to buy, and being it's a one-shot special slot deal you won't be able to constantly destroy wormholes by your lonesome self. The plus side is that you prevent the enemy from simply by-passing your defenses and give you time to act before their wormhole device recharges.

I've tossed the idea of a Wormhole Termination device to the other Developers already. What I was thinking is it would have the recharge time of maybe double the wormhole 1 device, draw nearly all your ships power to use or recharge, but if used properly you could quickly close a wormhole opened by someone.

The enemy might get a couple of ships through it to suddenly find themselves cut off from friendly support and reenforcements. Or unable to retreat...

Still tossing it around though... So dont know if it will ever see the light of day...

Well.. if there were people that entered a wormhole that was collapsed just as they entered it, theyd either.. probably

A)Crash the server
B) Be flung half the way across the known universe
C) Cry about having a wormhole closed
D)Blow up
E) Appear somewhere inbetween entry and exit
F)Cry and crash the server (dont think i mentioned those)

just give the hole hitpoints and make it vulnerable to only a few weapons.

that should fix it
