This is going to be simple and sweet,
I’ll start with problems and end with answers so flame after you read it all.

1.The survivability of low class ships must be raised dramatically...
2.New players are also potential customers so lets help their frustrations and blasted question spamming...
3.Dreads (and cruisers) cannot catch up to smaller vehicles IE Frigates Destroyers (or even cruisers)...
4.Dreadnaughts, cruisers what have you, P-Jumping pathetically lower ship classes...
5.Interdictor Fields have same area effect as Planetary Interdictor Fields...
6.Interdictor ships are raping new players...
7.Interdictors are firing weapons while using a devise that take massive energy on planet...
8.Dread/Station weapons have same effect as a scouts equivalent weapon...
9.Dread/Station armor/weapon to size ratio is drastically lower than any other armor/weapon to size ratio...
10.Everyone is Self Destructing and or committing suicide...
11.Self Destruct has same prestige effect for every ship every condition...
12.Too many low sound effects or lag deaths to planet collisions...
13.Scouts carry too much specials/ ECM and ECCM take too much room...
14.Ship Modifications all react similar/same stats/same quality...
15.Buildings build unreasonably fast...
16.Engineers watch buildings damage helplessly...
17.Missions are sporadic ludicrous and dramatically limited...

Well those are the problems allow me to attempt to fix them now...

1. Speed/Mass Ratio is also ludicrous/ Increase speeds relative to value purpose and size.

2. New players do not get happier being raped by Ensign to Fleet Admiral/ Expand the F1 help tabs so that when you begin to build a optional dialog box appears in a separate chat panel.
Example: New player orbits planet and a box briefly flashes...This is a friendly planet. You may upgrade here or in a engineering ship build new buildings per your factional requirements...Orbit a friendly planet in an engineer to learn more...New player orbits in Engineer...You may now build buildings to gain building prestige and eventually a badge...Select your F3 screen to better access the planet surface now...Good! Now here is a suggestion list of the general location and building you should build at...etc...etc...etc...

3. Why is this a problem? Guess what? It isn’t, I just want you to realize a moon sized chunk of steel doesn't move as fast as a Rhode Island sized one. Want to be as fast as a frigate? Then get one you moron!

4. Larger ships should have to have a farther jump if you jump on top of a Recon...In real life a recons back end just flew through your bridge at unimaginable speeds...you would die...Plus you shouldn’t be able to close jump at a certain distance to other ships...your Jump Drive would cause a shockwave that would kill anything close enough...so as a safety feature a max close jump should be automatic and stop you short of a ship because at those speeds you cant maneuver upwards hence the auto stop which is farther per ships size.

5. The problem is the answer raise Planetary Interdictors or Lower Ship Interdictors or remove them.

6. Interdictors should have no weapons (excluding CL level ones) and 1/3 or more armor.

7. Hence #6.

8. A scout has a Rail gun...a Station is about fifty times its size...Why wouldn't a stations Rail-gun be bigger or be some sort of Level 3 Rail-gun?

9. Its a station...its fifty times the size of that assault recon the assault recon has two energy cannons and one torpedo...I’m not saying the dread need one-hundred energy cannons and fifty torpedoes but shouldn’t it have more? Maybe my #8 suggestion would help?
10. Raise prestige cost of Self Destructs and instead of blowing up the idiot parked under your allies station with 1 health wait for the station to move or jump then kill it you moron.

11. Self Destruct should cost even more for higher class ships and if your at 2% and about to die it should cost you significantly less prestige unless you are Emergency Jump capable.

12. Institute a new collision warning like a giant blinking sign caution collision warning or have an autopilot auto-engage. (After all that ship isn't free why wouldn’t some scientist on earth decide a dread is too expensive to leave at risk?)

This can also extend to a blinking caution sign in the middle of the screen that screams Approaching Enemy or when your upgrading You Are under attack (Would not appear unless your in a different screen) or even Enemy sensor/ ECM/ ECCM/ missile tracking you.

13. ECM/ECCM is basically the same systems only reversed make it the same system and instead of two ECM/ECCM/Scanner have it Level2 ECM/ECCM/Scanner.

14. Shouldn't a very industrious or technological planet turn out weapons/other with lower energy cost or better damage? You can buy two cars with same schematics from two different cars companies...different.

15. Slow down building production. Those are mammoth buildings to be able to see them from space seeing them from earth would be like watching a city be built in 0:45 seconds.

16. Engineers can repair building with their build drones...they are filled with building supplies you know...

17. Every ship needs a mission and they should be more frequent...

The aim of DarkSpace is to provide entertainment, not extreme realism. Also a lot of the ideas in your post have already been brought up.

Why should cruisers and dreads be able to catch scouts and dessies? You wouldn't expect to see an aircraft carrier attempt to outrun destroyers and cruisers in modern naval warfare.

As has been posted for every thread like this for the last 2 months, ship balance is reworked in 1.482.

Secondly, there will always be people who suck, we cannot dumb down the game to their level.
