More Weapons, more specials, more fun-stuff!!!!
No need to brainstorm anything...why look farther than this forum? There a million good ideas in this forum, I trust the Dev Team has been taking notes?
Well-l, just in case they haven't been keeping good notes, I think the inspired players out there should take a line or two and briefly summarize some of their unique ideas that can be found in this forum
(I'm sure a lot of my ideas were thought of before me, but thats not the point and I get to go 1st)
: Sensor Beacons : Beacons that act as ECM and ECCM - fired out from ships
- Probes - A cross between a beacon and a scout, shot it and then camera it to see whats around
- Scout Fighters - A fighter that scouts distant planets/targets for you
- Alternate Torpedo Spread Patterns - Grape Shot, clumped, rapid fire individual fire options
- Big Guns - Like spinal mounted guns (but I never had that specific idea) only used for dreads...more hvy slots you fill up with a Big Gun, the bigger the lone projectile becomes.
- Mirv Missles - They are missles that break into multiple warheads.
- EMP Missles - use your imagination
- The Pain in My ASSaulter - The Carpal Tunneler : Anti-Ergometric devices to use against you comfortable enemy - - Oh yea, I posted a big one on this
- K'luth Cloak 100gu Field Generators - A special that a bug can carry... like a dictor but a cloak
- Portable Shield Generators - The ICC special equivalent to the Cloak Generator
- 1 Time use Specials : Fuel Pods, Special Ammo, Organic Resources for K'luth Hull patches, Energy Bursts for Shields, Elite Repair Crew (fixes 2 things in a jiffy), Emergency boosters...
: Decoy Projection ECM : Creates a mirror image of yourself that can only fool missles and fighters.
: Pirate/Rogue Factions : A rare occasion that gives a player command over a small squadron of Nuetral AI ships
: Bezerker Type Mega Monsters : Requires 3 factional cooperation to stop, or it will travel through all systems destroying everything in its path
: Communication Tapping Beacons : Put one on the enemy and read what he reads.
:Communication Jammer: No distresses will get out with this thing in proximity . . .good for planets as well and will work 25% on communication
: The K'luth : Oh yea...my idea
That is all the ones I can remember creating posts on...there are dozens of other ones, but these I can recall.

That sounds sweet, and it looks like your taking from Homeworld or something with field generators and spinal mounts like the ion frigate

About the only one I can remember (and I doubt it's original anyways ) is giving the Dreads Big Turret Guns; insanely powerful shots but slow turret rotation (think of the current cannons as dinky little 5" guns, and these Dread guns would be the 16" Battleship kind )

point defence rapis pulse beams for UGTO
just like a pulseS wave effect but can only shoot down like 12 missiles/fighters at once
> same recharge as the Pulse and only avalable on the UGTO Dreads
( as a counter of the pulseS )
kluth : dont know yet have to wait til i see the light ruptors and heavy
escape scout for dreads
just a combat scout for UGTO
a recon scout for ICC
and a Fang for the kluth
if you are at like 10 % hull you can press the escape button lanching the scout out of the ship at 15 GU alowing you to escape
frigate/scout docking on station
alowing a frigate or scout to dock on the station and become a passager alowing it to jump whit the station whitout his own jumpdrive
> max maby 3 or 4 ships and all at oposit sides
criate a battle ship
a class between the cruiser and the dreads
only one ship per faction
just heavy on weapons and only heavy on front and rear shields/armor
> for the kluth i think this one (depending on new ruptors) may become there PD ship
> UGTO gets a sort of heavy emp/torp weapons platform and only 1 armor full and 2 front and 1 rear
> ICC gets a AR/rail weapons platform that has 2 front 1 left 1 right and 2 rear shields
the UGTO and ICC ships have litle or non PD there are weapon platformships. intended to be defended by other ships
