i was thinking sence when fighters accutly hurt when they blow up right next to the ship why cant they make a kamikize fighter that fires on the way in and then just crashes into the ship, doing alittle more damage thant he current fighters when they explode
Hey if Japan was able to do it i dont see why i cant make my fighters do that.
(i think it would be more of a kluth thing but anyway)

I like it...btw fighters should also take damage when there are explosions near them (warheads, ships, gaifens, stars, planets)

An interesting Idea. I wouldn't want to see it go in unless:
a) a ship's crew is implemented along with ship capturing, crew death, etc.
and
b) losing fighters causes a loss of crewmembers from your ship's pool.
I mean, after all, where are the people piloting these kamikazees comming from? Might as well just strap a particle cannon onto an IT missile and make it weigh a bit more.

+ crew pool ??
how about you got more crew than fighters you gona launch people on a kimakaze runn
would love to see kimakaze shuttles and so fort
and would love to see if you are destroyd your fighters wil do kimakaze actions that add you your ship dammage points
it sounds all nice hole F aproves of this
atlease it solves a bit for like you respawn at a gate and incounter enemy's you cant lanch fighters becous your old fighters ar stil in the server :S dounst make cens ha ??
+ if the just vanish that is lame to

How about fighters that actually use take the range of their weapon into account when attacking? No reason a fighter with railguns/etc. should be coming into cl2k range of a dread or station it is targetted against. A destroyer or less might require them to close for more consistent hits but those faster projectiles don't miss the big ships much.

Because you cannot waste highly trained fighter pilots by slamming them into ships.
Well, maybe the UGTO would do it.

The only reason the Japanese did it was becaue they were desperate, and because they didn't have weapons that track. There's no reason to make a kamikaze fighter now when you can make a giant missile or something better than wasting a fighter to smash into a starship.

No? Someone didn't want it and got killed by his wingmates....
And about loosing crew from the ship pool: How many people do you think are needed to hold a joystick and press the fire key every now and then? THere is nothing to be repaired, it always goes full speed and it will be around for some mins not longer
