I don't think you should be able to detect missiles/fighters past a certain range (2500gu for example).

This would cut down dramatically on video lag and there's absolutely no point to being able to detect fighters 10000gu away. If you want to see them, you can track their target. Otherwise, it just creates lag and clutters up your targetting icons.

true.. true... and true..... although I say be able to detect ANYTHING within 100 gu's of you! no matter WHAT you are!!!!
