My fellow humans,
For far too long we have fought amongst ourselves. And for what? A planet here, a planet there, bragging rights? For thousands of years humanity has fought wars amongst itself. From the World Wars to the Stellar Conflicts. And to what end? Death. The death of fellow human beings. Even now we continue to fight amongst ourselves, blind to the fact that we doom ourselves to extinction. In colonizing our galaxy we have discovered that we are, in fact, not alone. Another species exists. That species is known as the K'Luth. They are a ruthless race of aliens bent on the destruction of humanity. And still we continue to fight amongst ourselves. We continue to fight and by doing so we are doing half of the work for the K'Luth. While we destroy each other in a futile attempt at childish bragging rights, these aliens are even now capturing and enslaving human planets. HUMAN planets. Where your fellow humans once lived and were slaughtered by these aliens. We are all human beings. We are brothers, we are sisters, we are the children of the future. Do you want your children to grow up in a galaxy ruled by these aliens? Do you want your brothers and sisters to know nothing except slavery at the hands of these aliens? I for one DO NOT!!
I am therefore calling upon all ICC and UGTO fleets to join together in defense against these aliens. The time for fighting amongst ourselves is past. The time for unification is NOW!! The time for an ICC/UGTO Alliance has come. To show my support for this ideal, I will be heading up a new fleet. This fleet will be known as the Galactic Cultural Trade Confederation. The GCTC has been assured by the newly formed Interstellar Coalition for the Betterment of Mankind that it will have the full support and financial backing of all the member corporations. As the leader of this newly formed fleet I will except membership by all former human ship commanders (and former K'Luth players) who wish to join me in the fight for humanity's freedom and survival. I will openly defend all ICC planets as well as all UGTO planets. If that means that I must defend against ICC fleets in the defense of UGTO worlds, then so be it. I will do the same for any ICC world. My fellow humans, we must overcome our prejudices and realize that as human beings we can stand together and defeat the K'Luth. United we can stand, but divided we will surely fall.

yesterday ICC capped most of the UGTO Space
then yelled at them one week ago to learn to fly the ships??
and now they want a ally???

yeah i dont think a "Alliance" with ICC/UGTO will be a good thing to do, being that we will fight about 2hours into the alliance most likely...even tho Kluth are doing both Factions in at the same time..but as some1 said, "Dream On".

I would like to remind you guys that Marco does not speak for the entire ICC OR UGTO (whichever faction he is this week).
Personally, I realize that the UGTO are feeling quite a bit of resentment in the ICC's direction, and it's understandable. Some of our ships ARE overpowered, which is why I rarely fly them (if at all).
The way I see it, too many clans have a bone to pick with their opposite number in the other factions to form an effective alliance at the moment. It's gonna be interesting to see how everybody deals with the political system when it comes out...actually having to negotiate alliances and all...
