Krill seems entirely too effective, I tested one vs Enterprise in a UGTO Lance Dreadnought and was able to go full speed while firing, and maintain full speed after cloaking and gain energy. I did hit and run attacks like that multiple times, and by the time I'd maneuvered to target the same arc again my energy was back to full. I'd suggest removing one aux gen and replacing it with another PD beam.
The damage is also alarmingly high, even from 800 range I still did 20% total armor damage with 4 alphas. 960 range for a non-missile luth weapon seems excessive. I'd suggest either increasing falloff for SI so it's like shooting spitballs at max range, or shortening the range to something more like 400-500.
Currently the Krill has a huge advantage over beam and torpedo armed ships which are supposed to have an advantage over it since it's a cannon ship, not only does it outrange them by a significant amount but it can sustain fire while going full speed with little energy loss which lets it actually dodge torps semi reliably. Tested this against Enterprise in a UGTO Torpedo Destroyer and I was able to avoid about 30% of his torps and eventually killed him due to SI's fast projectile speed.
Psi Focused Disruptors still fire against ships even though they're PD beams.

Only beams set to PD won't fire at ships. It doesn't mean beams that can PD don't fire at ships at all.

Were PD beams supposed to be dedicated PD-only?
Meaning that the player can't use them at all. They will automatically fire at incoming fighters/missiles only.

Both dedicated beam and anti-ship beam can shoot at ship when PD turn off.
When PD turns on (the PD beam gadget has PD word next to the hotkey number), PD beam may only fire pod. Anti-ship beam can not set to PD. [ This Message was edited by: DiepLuc on 2013-08-12 23:46 ]

So is the classification of dread2 (Super dreads) gone? All dreads seem to have the same strength shields, armor and weapons.
Also find it a little bit funny that (at least on ICC) cruisers tend to have an extra defensive gadget over dreads. e.g. strike cruiser- 8 shields, 1 armor plate / strike dread - 8 shields, 0 armor plates ; assault cruiser- 4 shields, 6 armor plates / assault dread - 4 shields, 5 armor plates.
Although i do realize dread grade armor/shields are stronger, still a little bit funny. [ This Message was edited by: Chewy Squirrel on 2013-08-12 23:43 ]

Love the new ICC T2 dreads, fits their style very well, and they needed an assault dread since ICC don't have a T1 beamer.

I find the T3 K'Luth frigate and cruiser to be very difficult ships to counter.
The Mauler can attack while under the effect of its ECM, and it has a pretty startling ammount of firepower for a ECM ship, and good versatility between the cannons and torpedoes.
The Scythe has Missiles, Torpedoes, and Beams.
It can take on cruisers with ease, keeping its distance with cloak and JD, pelting them with missiles which are very hard to avoid when fired directly.
It can take on destroyers as well, by uncloaking and getting a good hit in with disruptors and possible torpedoes.
It can keep its distance from dreads and attack from range, especially ones which are preoccupied.

Nightshade vs Lance Dread
This was tested twice, first between me(lance) and temp3(nights)
Second time was between me(nights) and Jim(lance)
In both battles:
Lance uses up ALL armor.
Lance is drained to 0 energy.
Nightshade uses up all armor except the aft.
Nightshade remains at nearly full energy.
Nightshade sustains minor damage to gadgets, about 90% give or take.
Lance dread is destroyed in both fights, and the Nightshade has about 40-50% hull remaining, plenty of energy, and aft armor.
If the lance dread was on the move, and the Nightshade got behind it, it would have been beat even more severely than in a face to face fight.

Speed, turnrate, acceleration, JD recharge have been reduced heavily, especially for SuperDread and Stations. (EAD max speed 15gu, SS max speed 1.5gu)
I been hearing other say it takes forever to get anywhere in a dread now.
I sorta like this because it tilts balance in favor for:
1.) Role specific Smaller ships.
2.) Tactics other than PointJump+Spacebar (careless PJ get penalized since everyside has missile dreads now)
On a sidenote:
using a EAD, QST are much slower and short ranged now. I had hard time hitting a Dread run away @400gu+ (Probably couldnt hit a crusie at all)
On the otherhand, QST damg is devastating, point blank attack with a Siph had both of us down to 30% hull within 4 alphas. (could be due to splash)
Still trying to decide if i like this or not.

I also wish to point out that the flagship dreadnought has 4 engines listed on its device list but its model shows only 3 engines. This is a slight inconsistency in the dread layout.

Layouts and models are different things. They don't necessarily have to correspond. The Strike Carrier model has 8 exhaust trails. Imagine that on the layout!
Most Kluth dreads only have one tailpipe anyway....

Haven't Dreadnoughts always had 15 top speed? They have slower acceleration and less turn rate in beta but as far as I know the top speed hasn't changed.

The best feedback for layout from my point of view is the list of ships that I intend to keep.
Since I'm unfleeted, I will have 3 lists. From time to time I will fill in the list the most favorite ships.

- Jump Cruiser
- Rapid Assualt Destroyer
- Heavy Cruiser
- Command Carrier
